      How Will CollegeList Pro Charges Change?

      Legacy CollegeList Pro to CounselMore Plan Transition:

      • Billing Cycle Update: Starting September 1, 2024, your billing cycle will change to the 1st of each month.
      • Monthly Charge: Your account will be charged $35 on the 1st of each month from September through December 2024, (unless additional in-app purchases are made.)
      • Bonus Offer: Enjoy the unlimited student plan at $35/month, surpassing your 25% legacy discount. A $600 value, free to you, just in time for App Season. New to the App Tracker? Come to Study Hall

      Example: If your current billing date is the 15th, as of Sept. 1st, your new billing date will be the 1st. Starting September 1st, you will be charged $35 for the month and on the 1st of each month.

      Account Balance:

      • Any account balance will be applied to any account credit before any new charge is applied. You will receive an itemized invoice via email.

      Example: If you have a $10 account balance, it will be applied to your $35 charge, making your payment $25 for that month. The invoice will detail this adjustment.

      CollegeList Pro - January 1, 2025 Offer Expiration:

      • On January 1, 2025, your account will remain on the $35 plan for 5 active students, with additional students at $4/month each, unless you choose a different tier plan prior to Jan. 1 2025.

      Example: If you add an additional student, your January charge will be $39

      ($35 + $4 for the extra student). See a price per student grid

      Example Charges:

      • $35 for the base plan covering 5 active students.
      • Additional $8 for 2 more students ($4 per student).
      • Total: $43 for the month.

      Example: If you have 7 active students, your charge will be $43 ($35 for the base plan + $8 for 2 extra students).

      CollegeList Pro - Adjust Your Plan by December 31, 2024:

      Before Jan. 1 2025, do this:

      • Review and adjust the Status of your Student Records. 

        • Do you need to make mass-changes? Export your contacts into a spreadsheet. Do not change header-title of columns. Update student records. Upload the updated information to your account. Or contact us for help. support@counselmore.com

        • Update Active, Archived, and Prospective student records.
      • Compare plans in the Pricing Grid.

        • You will never need to upgrade, just add students when needed. If your client list expansion persists, move to a more appropriate plan level, to save money. Check out the per student grid that tells you when to save money.

      Example: If you have 5 Active students and expect to add more, review the plans to decide if you should switch to the $59 plan for 15 active students and save money or you might feel that you work with under 11 students and pay $4 per additional student beyond 5 is a better option for you.

      CollegeList Pro - How to Adjust Your Plan in the software

      1. Before Sept. 1 -
        1. Log into your account at app.collegelistpro.com any upgrade button will take you to the new platform. app.counselmore.com
      2. After Sept. 1 -
        1. Log into your account at app.counselmore.com
      3. Navigate to the Settings menu in the top right-hand corner.
      4. Select "My Account" and click on "See Other Plans".
      5. Enter your intended number of active students for the best tier recommendation.
      6. Review the cost breakdown and complete the transaction by clicking the Buy Now button.

      Example: If you currently have 5 active students and plan to increase to 10, adjust your plan accordingly to avoid per-student charges that will happen on January 1 2025

      $$   IMPORTANT NOTE    $$

      If your legacy plan expires, there is no re-entry into the old plan. Enjoy unlimited student records at no extra cost until December 31, 2024.

      Example: Ensure your payment method is up-to-date to avoid losing access to the legacy plan benefits like this offer. If you exit your account, there is nothing that can be done to move you into your old plan.

      Frequently Asked Questions regarding College List Pro members transition to CounselMore platform:

      What if I only use the list builder and I know that I do not want additional functionality?

      We know there will be at least one of the new list functions that you will love. But if you do not want the additional functions, you have the option to turn off entire tabs.

      Will my student portals close?

      Yes and No. When a Student Portal and/or a Parent Portal is opened the Student status is Active. When the Student status is changed to archive or perspective, the corresponding portal will close. The portal can be reopened simply by changing the student record status to active and re-inviting the student to their portal.

      Example: If a student's status is changed to Prospect, their portal will close. Switching them back to Active and sending a new invitation will reopen their portal access. If the student or parent attempts to log in to their portal, They will receive a message to contact the counselor.

      Will my data transfer automatically?

      Yes, all your data and account information will migrate seamlessly. You will not notice any interruption.

      Example: Your student profiles, contact details, and application data will move to the new platform without any action required on your part.

      Can I adjust the number of active students mid-cycle?

      Student record status can be changed any day. You are charged by the number of active students not the specific student account. When you choose a tiered plan you are choosing the appropriate size for your regular Client List. When you feel the need to expand, do so without upgrading or 'turning off' clients. The practice of turning off/on clients to mitigate costs, will not save you money and distracts the counselor from counseling. Expanding your Active client count, only when needed and then choosing to move to the appropriate tier, when your regular client list expansion persists, will save you money.

      Example: If you start with 5 active students and add 3 more mid-month, you will be billed an additional $12 ($4 per student) for the current month use. If you changed the student status for 2 of those students mid month, the following month, you would be charged: $35+1($4)

      Will there be any downtime during the transition?

      No, there will be no service interruptions.

      How do I close out student records and archive them?

      Follow the instructions here.

      Unlimited Students Until December 31

      • Enjoy unlimited student records for $35/month until the end of the year.

      Example: Take advantage of this period to onboard as many students as you need without worrying about additional charges.
