Assignments tab - Auto-Email Assignment Summaries / Reminders Manually send assignment summaries or setup automatic scheduled reminders

 

Assignment Summary Email or Progress Summary Email

The Assignment Summary Email or Progress Summary Email is a list of currently active assignments. The email of Active Assignments can be sent out automatically at an interval the counselor chooses.

This email can also be sent manually by clicking on the email button in the assignments tab or by turning on auto-send.

Auto-send will deliver the Assignment Summary Email or Progress Summary Email, at an interval the counselor determines.

Sending Assignment Summary Manually

Make sure you have assignments that are set to show 

 

Click "Email" then select who to send it to 


Scheduling Assignment Summaries

Make sure you have assignments that are set to show

Click the blue Menu button then the Auto Send Summary option.

A box will pop up titled Schedule Auto Send Summary.

  • For Interval, click the drop down menu to choose how often you want a reminder email sent.
  • Choose a Start date to indicate 'when to start auto-sending'.
  • Click the On box to confirm activation.
  • Click the Counselor Auto Send to receive weekly email summaries of the student's progress (optional). 
  • Click Save.
Note: 

- This is done per student
- Clients can reply to this email 

Is there any way I can only send reminders for the specific month assignments to all students?

  • If you want everyone to be reminded of something in a particular month (ex. December), use the scheduled Broadcast feature. You can add your unique portal link to that Broadcast.
  • Example: "Remember to do your assignments in December <link to student portal>"

TIP:  

I only want to send specific Assignments via email. I do not want all of the Assignments the student has not completed yet to send. 

I want them to remain visible in the Student's Portal too. Just minimize the number of Assignments they are receiving.

  1. Turn off the green grad hat.
  2. Send Email
  3. Turn green hat back on

How to copy Parents on Assignment Summary emails?:

  • Parent email address added to Contact banner

  • Assignments tab > each Assignment that Parent should be copied on will have double headed icon green and made active by Start Date

  • To email > click Menu button and choose both Parent and Student

 

Assignment Summary emails are often referred to as Progress Summaries or Active Assignment emails.

Counselors choose which Assignments are Active based on Start date.

Active assignments are visible in the progress summary emails. Summary emails can be sent to Student and Parent email addresses.

If the Counselor does not want one parent copied, the Counselor can choose to "not copy" a parent contact on any communications. Navigate to Student Information section (AKA Bio Banners > Contact banner to turn off communications with a specific contact)
