You can change the color of application status columns in the app tracker

Having your status columns in the app tracker change color can really help send across a sense of urgency when assigning tasks but it can also provide a sense of relief once your student has marked a cell as complete.

What is an Application Status Column? 

It's a column that is meant to be for entering input, indicating where that student Is in whatever process that column is tracking.  

How do I identify status columns in my app tracker? 

You'll notice status columns are highlighted in light blue and will have three little squares In the top right hand corner of the cell. 

How do I change the color of a cell? 

You can do this in two ways. You can click the rainbow square on the center or you can click the box on the right hand side to mark this cell as completed, and thus, changing its color to green. 

The Three Icons in Status Columns

  • Blue Clipboard (Generate Assignments/Tasks)
    Click this icon to generate assignments or tasks related to that specific status column.
  • Color Option (Yellow/Red)
    Change the cell’s color to yellow or red to signal urgency or priority for a task or assignment.
    This is useful when you want to highlight important actions for the student.
  • Checkbox (Assignment Completed)
    Use this to mark an assignment as completed.

Color Change on Assignments Completion

  • When a student completes the assignment generated from the status column:
    The cell will automatically change to green.




  • If you previously applied a custom color (yellow/red), it will respect that selection.


If no custom color was selected, it will default to green.

💡The three square icons in the corner will also be replaced by a blue checkmark box once the assignment is done. 

 

How can I add or remove a status column? 

Go into your Default Data Columns and add/remove columns from the "Application Status Columns" banner.
