Why am I limited to 110 character when texting from my portal?

We understand that 110 characters is not ideal. In the past we've allowed for up to 180 characters and even more before that. Why did we have to limit this? It's not a technical issue on CounselMore's end. When we send a text out, our servers communicate with the receiving number's provider's servers. In many cases, we saw texts being delivered by our servers and received by the provider's servers, then subsequently dropped, meaning it was never received by the client's cell phone. By limiting texting to 110 character, we improved reliability of the feature.
