Sometimes, you may find it necessary to rename a folder to better reflect its contents or to improve organization.  Changing the names/ titles of Google Drive folders: CounselMore generates some of these folders for you automatically. Other folders you label and connect to your CounselMore account. Those that you create and label yourself can have the name changed at any time. What is seen on the files tab is what is reflected in the Google drive folder - however it may take 24 hours for the files tab to update an accurately reflect what you have changed in your Google drive folder.  What folder are you changing? Please keep reading below. ### **Question: What Happens If I Change the Name of a Google Drive Folder?** **Renaming a Folder Inside a Student’s Folder** You have opened your Google Drive - under looking at folders that you own in your Google Drive: When you rename a folder inside a student’s folder in Google Drive, the folder’s name will update immediately. This change will be reflected wherever the folder appears, including the Student Files tab, making it easier for you to keep track of and organize your documents. **What Happens to the Files Inside?** The good news is that when you change the folder’s name, all files inside the folder remain intact. The content, file names, and organization within the folder do not change at all.
