Using the Reporting's Admissions Outcomes Tool in CounselMore
The Reporting Admissions Outcomes tool helps you manage student application data efficiently. Here's how to use it:
Accessing the Admissions Outcomes Report
You can now access the Admissions Outcomes Report in several ways:
1. From the Service Account menu

- Go to Service Account → Reporting → Admissions Outcomes, or
- Service Account → Settings → Reporting → Admissions Outcomes
2. From the Dashboard

- Scroll down to Reports → Admissions Outcomes
The Admissions Outcomes Report helps visualize and analyze college application data across all students.
You can toggle between:
- View by College (visual and analytical overview)
- View by Student
View by College
The College View provides visuals summarizing student application outcomes, academic averages, and historical admissions trends. It includes several key data sections and charts.
Summary Metrics

At the top of the report, you’ll see your summarized college application data:
- My Acceptance Rate - The acceptance rate for students under you.
- My # Apps Submitted - Total Numbers of Applications Submitted in Initial and Final Decision
- My Avg. GPA - Avg. GPA of all students
- My Avg. SAT - Avg. SAT of all students
- My Avg. ACT - Avg. ACT of all students
You can toggle between:

- Initial Decision — outcomes at the time of first submission
- Final Decision — most recent and updated outcomes
Each decision category is color-coded to match statuses in the App Tracker (e.g., Accepted, Waitlisted, Deferred, Withdrawn, Denied).

Graduation Year Filter
Use the Grad Year filter at the top right to refine data by class year.
You can select a specific graduation year or choose All to include all available years.
Results will automatically refresh based on your selection.

Colleges Applied To
Below the graduation year filter, you’ll see Colleges Applied To, giving a quick reference to where students have submitted applications.

💡TIP:
- You can select any college name in the list to view its individual report.
- When you select a specific school, the metrics and visuals update automatically to reflect data for that college only — including acceptance rate, number of applications, and average academic performance.

Application Funnel

This visual tracks student progress through each application stage:
Applied → Submitted → Accepted → Enrolled
Use this chart to monitor engagement and drop-off points throughout the application cycle.
Acceptances by Application Type

This chart shows which application types (e.g., EA, ED, Regular, Rolling, Transfer) result in the most acceptances.
You can use this insight to identify trends and patterns in deadline success rates across schools.
Year-over-Year Admissions Trends
The Year-over-Year chart compares:
- Acceptance Rate (%)
- # of Apps Submitted
- Average Admitted GPA
This visualization helps identify shifts or patterns in student application outcomes and academic performance over time.
