Counselors using CounselMore have access to various reports that help assess and compare schools for their clients. These reports provide insights into individual institutions, student compatibility, and application expectations.
Below is an overview of the different types of reports available and how to use them effectively.
Enter Student Information into Biography Banner before generating reports
Click the pencil to the right of the student's name at top of the page.
Complete all information banners but especially those related to the assessment tools and results will appear in reporting.
School Report Breakdown
The School Report provides an in-depth look at an institution’s key attributes. To access this report, click on the school name or use College Lookup where you’ll find a breakdown of:
• Basic Information: Website, location, location type, and nearest airport.
• Academics & Admissions: Student-to-faculty ratio, admission rate, total undergraduate enrollment, and graduation rates.
• Test Scores & GPA: Standardized test scores (SAT/ACT), average GPA of admitted students.
• Financial Aid: Cost of attendance and financial aid opportunities.
• Admissions Report: Deadlines, required application components, and their weightage in the evaluation process.
• Financials: Approximate net cost by household income, helping families understand the expected cost.
• Demographics: Breakdown of student population by various factors, including ethnicity and geographic distribution.
Downloading the School Report:
To download a school's summary report:
1. Go to Student List
2. Click the Menu
3. Select Download Summary Report
Candidate Comparison Report
For a comparative analysis, the Candidate Compare column allows counselors and students to evaluate how a student’s academic profile aligns with a school’s requirements. This report includes:
• Academic Fit: Comparison of GPA and standardized test scores.
• Application Assessment: Evaluates the student's application components such as essays, extracurricular activities, and recommendations against typical admitted student profiles.
• Admission Results Scatterplots: A visual representation of past admissions results based on GPA and test scores, helping predict the likelihood of acceptance.
Important Note: The data used for comparison comes from the Student Self-Assessment. To ensure accurate results, students should complete the self-assessment found in the Student Info Self-Assessment Banner before using this report.
This comparison helps counselors and students realistically assess admission chances and identify reach, match, and safety schools.

Evaluate Fit Report
By clicking the Evaluate Fit Balance icon, counselors can access a detailed fit assessment, which includes:
• Admissions Profile Review: This section presents a side-by-side table showing:
- Application Items: Writing skills, recommendations, interviews, and other key components.
- Ratings: The student's self-assessment ratings for each application component.
- College Weightage: The importance each school places on different application components.
- Self-Assessment Responses: The student's answers to the self-assessment, directly compared to the school’s requirements.
• Scatterplots:
◦ Acceptance by GPA – Displays past admissions results based on GPA.
◦ Acceptance by ACT/SAT – Shows acceptance trends based on standardized test scores.
• Comparison Between Student and Campus:
This section provides a direct academic comparison between the student and the school:
• Student Candidate:
◦ Reported GPA
◦ Completed courses
◦ List of advanced/honors courses
• Campus:
◦ Last admitted GPA
◦ School-recommended courses
◦ AP/IB/Other exam credit school policy
• Test Results: How the student's test scores align with the college’s admitted student range.
• School Profile & Application Guidelines: Additional details about application expectations and decision factors.
Where to Find Evaluate Fit:
The Evaluate Fit button is found in the Counselor List, next to the Fit column. This feature is fixed, ensuring it remains easily accessible for all comparisons.
Important Note:
The Evaluate Fit report is also based on the Student Self-Assessment. Completing this assessment ensures an accurate comparison between the student’s profile and the school's requirements

Additionally, you can create a custom report by emailing your template report to support@counselmore.com. To do this, create a spreadsheet that outlines the rows and columns you need. The report does not need to contain data—just include one row of sample data to show the developers exactly how the report should be structured. This ensures your requested report aligns with the available data in the app.
