If you're a customer attempting to integrate your Google Drive with the CounselMore app, you might encounter an error message that says: "Google hasn't verified this app." Don't worry—this is a standard security measure by google.
Why Am I Seeing This Warning?
Google displays the "Google hasn't verified this app" message when an application requesting access to your Google has not yet been verified by Google. This is a commonly warning for apps that are in process of completing Google's verification process to ensure compliance with their security and privacy standards.
Rest assured that CounselMore is a secure application, and this warning is temporary. Our team is actively working with Google to complete the verification process.
Steps to Integrate Google Drive with CounselMore
1. Click on "Advanced": When you see the warning, look for the small link that says "Advanced."
2. Proceed to the Application: After clicking on "Advanced," a new option will appear that says "Go to CounselMore / College List Pro (unsafe). Despite the wording, this simply indicates the app hasn't completed the verification process yet.
CounselMore is safe to use, so click on this option to move forward.
After this, the pop up will close, and you will be prompted to sign in again.
3. Repeat the Process to Reach the "Allow" Page: After signing in again, repeat the steps by clicking "Advanced" and "Proceed to CounselMore / College List Pro (unsafe)." This time, you will be taken to a page that asks you to Allow access. Click the "Allow" button to grant CounselMore permission to access your Google Drive.
After completing the steps above, you should now see that your Google Drive has been successfully connected to CounselMore.
