      SRAR - Which Schools participate in SRAR Transcript reporting

      Here is the list of schools

      Some colleges require or accept the SRAR (Self-Reported Academic Record) or SSAR in place of official transcripts.

      While CounselMore tracks widely adopted admissions trends, the SRAR/SSAR is currently required by a small number of colleges, many of which do not overlap with the most commonly applied-to schools.

      🎯 Why Custom Columns Are So Great

      Custom Columns are one of CounselMore’s most powerful tools—designed to give you total control over the way you collect, display, and act on data.

      There are two types of Custom Columns, each with unique superpowers:

      🟢 Custom Data Columns

      • Found in Settings → Data Manager → College Data Menu

      • Tracked per college, across all students

      • Visible to counselors only

      • Editable directly from Counselor's List, like any other data point

      📌 Use these to track info about colleges that’s specific to your counseling style or proprietary process.

      Examples:

      • Internal scholarships

      • Audition logistics

      • Department contacts

      • ROTC programs

      • DEI support centers

      • SRAR/SSAR requirement
        The possibilities are unlimited.

      🟡 Custom Status Columns

      • Found in Settings → Data Manager → Application Status Menu

      • Tracked per student, per school

      • Appears in Student List and App Tracker

      • Editable by both counselor and student

      📌 Use these to assign custom tasks, track nuanced strategy, and support accountability for every college application.

      Examples:

      • Campus Visit status

      • Assistant Coach contact

      • Honors College submission

      • Priority scholarship follow-up

      • Alumni connection outreach

      These columns turn your App Tracker into a custom strategy dashboard—tailored to the way you work.

      🛠️ How to Build One

      1. Go to Settings > Data Manager

      2. Open the relevant banner:
         — College Data Menu (for Custom Data Columns)
         — Application Status Menu (for Custom Status Columns)

      3. Add a label, toggle visibility (green = visible), and click ➕

      4. (Optional) Click Merge with All Students to apply to all records

      🧠 Pro Tip: Custom Columns you create are appended to the right of existing data columns—nothing is ever lost.

      💡Why Use Custom Columns?

      Because your counseling practice is unique. You shouldn’t have to fit your data into a one-size-fits-all mold.

      Whether you’re building your own SRAR tracker, capturing arts portfolio notes, or creating a private flagging system for likely/possible/reach schools—Custom Columns give you the freedom to track what matters most.

      📍Reminder:

      • Custom Data Columns = info about schools (visible only to counselors)

      • Custom Status Columns = info about student tasks (visible to counselor & student)

      Not for general notes or reminders—use the Assignments tab or Notes field for that.
