Sold your company? Have a new Admin or Owner?

Change is good. When you need to change your Admin account owner or email address

Choose the scenario that best fits your situation:

 

Scenario One:

You have an Admin account, (for explanation let's say the Admin email address is jane@collegecounseling.com)

Jane will no longer be working there, so you'd like to change the Admin email address.

Jane does not presently use the Admin account as a counselor.

Jane does not work with students in a counselor capacity out of her Admin account.

You can change the Admin email address.

🛠️ 👩‍💻 🛠️ Upon doing so Jane's email address will no longer be associated with the company. Jane@collegecounseling.com will not be able to sign in after the change.

  • Navigate to Settings (top right hand corner)
  • Select My Account
  • Find Green pencil and click on it
  • Change account owner email address
  • Log out and login with new email address
  • (the new email will receive an email notification as well)

 

Scenario Two:

You have an Admin account, (for explanation let's say the Admin email address is jane@collegecounseling.com)

When students first enter the account, they appear under Jane.

Jane moves students and assigns them to other counselors. Some students stay in the Admin account because Jane works with students and those who are assigned to her remain under the Admin account.

Jane will no longer be working there, so you'd like to change the Admin email address.

You can change the Admin email address.

🛠️ 👩‍💻 🛠️ Upon doing so Jane's email address will no longer be associated with the company. Jane@collegecounseling.com will not be able to sign in after the change.

  • Navigate to Settings (top right hand corner)
  • Select My Account
  • Find Green pencil and click on it
  • Change account owner email address
  • Log out and login with new email address
  • (the new email will receive an email notification as well)

 

Scenario Three:

You have an Admin account, (for explanation let's say the Admin email address is jane@collegecounseling.com)

When students first enter the account, they appear under Jane.

Jane moves students and assigns them to other counselors.

Jane does work with student under the Admin account.

Jane is staying with the company. Jane will no longer be in the Admin role but will remain a counselor role.

In this case we need a new counselor role for Jane so we can assign her students to her and away from the Admin account. Leaving the Admin account ready to accept a new email address but not make it so that Jane cannot sign in.

This is when you need our coordinated help. You could do it alone but if we do it together its faster and easier.

1) Choose a new email address for Jane. JaneSmith@collegecounseling.com

2) Log into Admin and add license for JaneSmith@collegecounseling.com

3) Assign Jane's student to her new email /counselor role

4) Change Admin email address (see above instructions)

5) Ask CounselMore to clear the original email address of jane@collegecounseling (so that we can assign it to her new role)

6) CounselMore clears Jane's old email address.

7) Admin logs in under new Admin email address and navigates to Jane's counselor account and changes Jane's email from JaneSmith@collegecounseling.com to her preferred Jane@collegecounseling.com
