Seymore - AI Assistant, Help Chatbot, Ask a Question, Tech Support, Professional Forum What is Seymore?
Seymore is CounselMore's built-in AI assistant. It lives behind the Help button in the top navigation bar and can answer questions about how to use CounselMore, right from wherever you're working in the platform.
How to open Seymore
- Click Help in the top navigation bar.
- The Seymore panel opens on the right side of your screen

How to ask Seymore a question
You can get an answer from Seymore in two ways:
- Type your own question. Use the Ask me anything... field at the bottom of the panel, then click the send button (or press Enter).
- Use a popular question. Under Popular Questions, click one of the suggested prompts (for example, How do I onboard a student? or How do I build a college list?) to get an instant answer without typing.
Seymore can answer questions about anything in CounselMore — how a feature works, where to find something, or the steps to complete a task.
Tech Support and Professional Forum
At the top of the Seymore panel are two additional buttons:

- Tech Support — submit a support request to CounselMore's team. See Troubleshoot - Reach Sales, Customer Service, Tech Support for the full request process, and How to Send Tech Support a Screenshot or Screen Video Recording for attaching a recording or screenshot to your request.
- Professional Forum — an in-app community board where working counselors post and answer each other's questions. Click + New Post to start a thread, or use Search by Tag to find existing discussions. Posts can be tagged (e.g. event, mentorship circle) and replied to inline.
If a Tech Support ticket doesn't resolve your issue, or you'd specifically like to talk it through live, you can book time with a tech mentor — see Troubleshoot - Schedule a Zoom Call.
Note: Seymore's answers are AI-generated, and the panel includes a reminder of this: "AI-generated content may be inaccurate." If Seymore's answer seems off, or doesn't fully solve the problem, use Tech Support to reach a person.
