College List - Grid View vs. Tile View

There are two options you can view the colleges with your CounselMore account based on your preferences. You can either choose from grid to tile view or vice versa

To switch between the Tile View and Grid View, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the Counselor or Student tab.
2. Click on the Menu button.
3. At the top of the drop-down menu, you’ll see the toggle option for Tile/Grid view.

4. Toggle the button:

◦ When the button is not clicked, it defaults to Tile View.

◦ Green indicates Grid View is active.

Note: Your chosen view will automatically become your default, so the system will display your preferred format each time you access the list.

Here's a quick comparison to help you decide which view works best for you.

Grid View

The Grid View is ideal for users who want a comprehensive, customizable table format.
• Key Features:
◦ Displays colleges in a spreadsheet-like layout.

◦ Allows users to add multiple columns with detailed data (e.g., acceptance rates, test score ranges, deadlines).
◦ Easily sortable and searchable for quick analysis.
◦ When downloaded, the report reflects all added columns exactly as shown on the portal.

Use Grid View for in-depth research and data-heavy tasks.

Tile View

The Tile View offers a more visual and simplified layout, focusing on key highlights for each college.
• Key Features:
◦ Displays a college's name, crest, location, and public/private status.

◦ Counselor List: Includes quick-action buttons to add the college to student’s list or delete it from your list.

◦ Student List: Includes quick-action buttons to select student ratings, parent approval or remove from student list (Return to Counselor's List)

◦ Does not show additional columns or customizable data like the Grid View.

Use Tile View for a quick overview or when focusing on visual appeal and simplicity.
