College List - College Search, Calculate probability of Admission Student's details must be entered to view the possibility in the compare column on the Student List.
1. The student profile banners will appear when you click the pencil icon to the left of the student's name,
causing the screen to scroll down.
2. Two of these banners are blue, as you can see. The questions under these flags must be answered.
include GPA, test scores, etc
The second banner is assessments.
The self-assessment questions in the first survey must all be answered.
- These parts can be completed by the student upon entering their student portal, if the counselor chooses to turn on assessments prior to inviting the student.
- Or they can be completed by the student later, after initiating their portal.
- The student will find these in their Student profile.
- Without the required data, 'Compare' will not yield any results.
3. Click on Active in the top right corner to access the pop-up Settings menu.
Click on the College Data Menu icon in the fourth column from the left on the page.
Turn the icons green to choose the data point or data column you want to see in the list of counsellors and students when the Compare data choice appears. Make sure to select "Merge with All Students" as this is the default column selection in your Settings.
Additionally, you may access the College Data Menu from any student record. You choose the data columns for the particular student while doing this rather than your account as a whole. How: From the Counselor or Student list, pick College Data Menu by clicking the blue circle button.
4. Return to the list you selected for the data to be displayed once the data column has been enabled; new data columns always appear all the way to the right (last columns) so you can discover the new data. There will now be a column called Candidate Compare.
Click the link in any cell in that column, new window opens showing the student's compare.
Notice: The subjective qualities are listed at the bottom, while the measurable evaluation is listed at the top. This enables you, the counsellor, to strategically plan each student's application outside the realm of exam results. thus they are becoming less and less prognostic.
Using the above as an example, the counselor now has guidance to instruct the student of potential candidacy deficits. The above student might receive he following bulleted suggestions:
- The school you are interested in is interested in your knowing if you enjoy academics AND activities. Let's find ways to express your interests by getting involved in an activity. Or if you already have after school responsibilities that require time commitment, please advise your counselor of these. If they include caring for a family-elder or a younger-sibling, these demonstrate more than your interests.
- Let's discuss your recommendations and why you feel you may not be able to retrieve positive letters of recommendations. There are ways to enhance those relationships and we can discuss these strategies.
