Parent Portal Account: Access When Siblings Are with Different Counseling Companies

In some cases, families may have siblings who are enrolled with different counseling companies or different counselors.  The good news is parents will still use one parent portal login, even if their children are with different counseling providers.

How It Works

The parent portal account is created via an invitation sent by the counselor.
The parent receives the invite and then completes the signup, using their email to access the portal.

When a parent already has a portal and receives another invitation from a different counseling company (for another child), there is no need to create a new account.
Simply accept the new invitation using the same email address as your existing portal login.

Inside the portal, parents can switch between each student profile using a student selection dropdown.

When a parent selects a student, the associated counseling company’s name will display clearly, so parents always know which organization they’re viewing.

Each student’s data — files, notes, assignments, deadlines, and communication — remains completely separate and secure.

This ensures that:

  • The parent only needs one login.
  • Each student’s counseling company information is displayed separately.
  • There is no overlap or visibility of data between companies.

Important Notes

  • Parents should always double-check the student name and company displayed before reviewing files or information to ensure they’re viewing the correct child’s records.
  • Each counseling company maintains control of their own student data.
  • Counselors cannot see siblings who are enrolled with another company unless they also work with that student.
