Creating The Google Drive Folder Structure 

Decide your Google Drive option

Open two tabs: your company's Google Drive and your CM account, sign into to both accounts.

The Google Drive account that you choose will have a benign company email address. Such as "info@yourcompany.com" or "hello@yourcompany.com", one that is recognizable by all clients but not assigned to any one staff member.

Create 1 folder called CounselMore.

Inside the CounselMore folder, create 2 folders: 

Master Folders & Student Records

                                                  

Connect Google & CM

 

Leave your Google drive tab - Return to your CounselMore app. tab.

  1. Goto Settings (top right hand corner)
  2. Goto Google Drive (see on far left menu)
  3. Click Authorize Google Drive.
  4. New white window opens, sign in to the company Google Drive.
  5. A permissions window will open, click Allow. Allow permissions so the CounselMore+Google magic can work.
  6. You will be automatically returned to the CounselMore app.
  7. You should see that you are now signed in. Your CM account and company Google Drive are now connected.

Link the Student Records Storage Folder

  1. In the same CM account window, under the section, "Folders Configuration", click the button labeled "Add Client Storage Folder"
  2. A new window will open (this is your Google drive directory) you will see your recently created CounselMore folder.
  3. Double Click the CounselMore folder 
  4. You will see the Student Records Folder, Single Click the Student Records folder.
  5. Click the blue button at the bottom of the window labeled "Select"
  6. You will be automatically returned to your CM account. You should now see your Student Records folder in the CounselMore app.

 

Now that your Student Records folder and your Google drive are connected. Select between the One Drive or Shared Drive options. Select edit under Drive Account Configuration and you should see the follow. We recommend keeping it simple with the One Drive option.
