Steps to Set Up Text Forwarding

Navigate to Settings Menu:
- Go to Account > Settings > Texting Setup.

Enable Text Forwarding:
- Click the checkbox to turn on Text Forwarding. This will allow your phone to receive a copy of all texts that are sent to your CounselMore account.

Send Text Messages from the Student Record:
- Open the student's record.
- Go to the Messages tab.
- Click on Text.

Send Your First Text Message:
- Type and send a text message to your student's cell phone.
- The student will receive your text message in the text app they currently use for all their texts. They will not see your personal cell number.
- No additional app download is necessary for you or the student.
Initiating Text Messaging with Students
Before you can send texts, you need to set up texting via your settings menu. Once done, follow these steps:

1. Add the student phone number:
- During the student creation process
- You can add the student's phone number to their Student profile at any time through their Bio Banners.
2. Go to the "Messaging" tab and then the "Texting" sub-tab. Send the Student a welcome message.
3. Optional : if you would like to receive copies of texts on your phone, go to "Settings" then "Texting Setup" and tick the "Turn on" checkbox under Auto-Text Settings .
