🤝 Share Knowledge, Strengthen the Community
Admissions data is constantly evolving, and it's challenging for any one individual to stay updated. Graduate program information, in particular, can be difficult to obtain. As a result, the data provided by Peterson's may also have limitations.
Establishing a centralized location to store and share your valuable insights about colleges, graduate programs, k12 information is crucial for enhancing process efficiency and fostering organizational knowledge.
✏️ How to Correct a Data Point
To make a correction:
- Go to your Counselor’s List or Student’s List tab.
- Schools must be added to the list
-
Click the Menu and select “Enable Data Correction Mode.”
-
Click the cell you’d like to update.
-
A data correction window will appear.
-
Research the correct information on the institution’s official website or Common App listing.
-
Paste the updated info into the correction window.
-
Paste the source URL at the bottom of the form (required).
-
Click Send.
âś… The cell will update immediately for your account.
🔍 CounselMore’s team will review the correction to verify the source and confirm it meets guidelines.
âť“ Why Is a Data Cell Blank? Why Does the Data Cell read "unreported" âť“
A few common reasons:
-
The school does not publicly report that information.
-
Our licensed resource (Peterson’s) did not include that information.
-
Your internet may be loading large lists more slowly—try refreshing your screen.
If you’re concerned a field is missing, you’re encouraged to research and contribute updates using Data Correction Mode.
đź“… How to Check When a Cell Was Last Updated
Hover over the cell and click the small question mark (?) inside it. A tooltip will show you the last modified date.
Ask yourself:
-
Is this data recent enough for the conversation I am currently having?
-
Does the school's website report differently?
-
Can I contribute a correction to help others?
