Default College Data Menu - Columns Updated, Nothing Changed You either forgot to apply changes or need to remove columns individually

Situation 1:
I have a few students already entered.
I returned to Settings and added some default data columns
I go back to my students and see no columns added
Solution 1:
Go back to settings
click Apply changes to existing students' button.
Situation 2:
I have a few students already entered.
I returned to Settings and removed some default data columns
I click 'Apply Changes to existing students' button.
I then went back to a current student's list, and I see the removed columns still there.
Solution 2:
New Student Records: Will not come with the removed column
For current student records: To remove columns from a college list, click the garbage can in the column header.
Why won't it erase the columns I have on current student records?
What if you have student records in your CounselMore account. Let's say 5 seasons worth of student records.
One day you decide that your default column should not include X and should include Y.
Then you click 'Apply changes to existing students' button.
Any unique data columns you pulled for a unique student record, are gone...
That would be sad.
We want you to be happy!
Note:
You can add the particular data column you removed to your particular student by just adding them back again in the college data menu settings.
