# Connecting with Sync CRM

## The Sync CRM from Short Story Marketing is quick and easy to connect to your account.

1\. In your CounselMore account go to Settings \> Webmaster (the last item)

2\. Scroll to the bottom of the Webmaster section and click the copy icon next to your API Key.

3\. Send your API key to Short Story Marketing.

 

The fine folks at SSM will configure your Sync account.

Once configured, when you change a sync record status from prospect to "client" an active student record will be created in your CounselMore account containing the following fields;

- Student name
- Student email
- Student grad year
- Parent name(s) and email
- High school
