College Data - Unreported / Not Reported

When reviewing college data in the app, you may come across fields labeled “Unreported” or “Not Reported.” These labels help clarify the availability and source of the data.

Unreported

“Unreported” is the default label used in the app when a data point is either not provided by the college or has not yet been entered into the system. This can happen if:

  • The college has not made the data publicly available.
  • The data exists but hasn’t yet been added to our platform.
  • The data field is intentionally left blank by the institution or agency.

In short, “Unreported” simply means the field is empty — no value has been recorded yet.

Not Reported

“Not Reported” specifically indicates that the college did not report this data to the agency or organization that collects it. For example, if a college chooses not to submit a particular statistic to IPEDS or Common Data Set reports, that data point will be marked as “Not Reported.”
