Ways to Use AI Assist
1. Type / Paste Input
Best for: Notes, emails, counselor summaries, transcripts copied as text
How it works:
- Paste or type student information into the text box
- AI parses unstructured text
- Data is automatically mapped into relevant Bio Banner fields
Example input:
“Sarah is a junior at Lincoln High, 3.8 GPA, 1420 SAT, varsity soccer captain, wants to study biomedical engineering…”
2. Voice Fill
Best for: Fast data entry during meetings or counseling sessions
How it works:
- Speak student information directly into the system
- AI transcribes speech in real time
- Extracted data is routed into correct fields automatically
3. Upload Documents
Best for: Transcripts, resumes, PDFs, recommendation drafts
How it works:
- Upload a document (e.g., transcript or resume)
- AI scans and extracts structured data
- Information is categorized and placed into Bio Banner fields
AI Processing Behavior
When AI Assist is used, the system:
- Reads unstructured input (text, audio, or document)
- Identifies key academic and extracurricular data
- Maps data into predefined Bio Banner categories
- Displays a preview for review before saving
Best Practices
- Use clear, complete sentences for better extraction accuracy
- Include GPA, test scores, and grade level when available
- Upload clean, readable documents
- Always review AI-generated entries before confirming
